Blessed

Hello everyone! Well I want to dedicate this post to the wonderful people I have been blessed to have in my life. Kelli can understand why I'm so obsessed with the song Mad Season with Matchbox 20 - sometimes I wonder if Rob Thomas knew me and then wrote it haha so anyhow...I feel overwhelmed by the many blessings the Lord has put my way. In this particular case I have had the tender mercy of having an absolutely amazing family and friends. I don't think that I can describe at this point how thankful I am for having the knowledge that I have and for having friends that share that knowledge with me so we can help one another.
This post is going to seem weird and it is in a way. Has it ever happened to you that just one day it just hits you, and you realize all the blessings and all the talents you have and you feel soo thankful? Maybe I'm not making any sense, or maybe I am, but the point is today was one of those days. I woke up, made myself some yummy breakfast went to class....got a little bit bored - but that's not the point! Then I went to the temple, and then just as I was watching this beautiful building it suddenly came to me as a lighting bolt!!! It was just such an overwhelming feeling of humility, energy and thankfulness. I drove home had some dinner and went right to the gym...I was there for two hours! I had this energy that I don't really know where it came from but I'm not complaining haha
As I previously posted I have been going to this Zumba class. So today while I was dancing and just having fun, I felt so full of the music and the steps. Basically, I just felt really blessed that dancing is one of my talents. Even though I love writing and I believe that I am much better at describing feelings with the written word than by any other mean, I believe nothing can express more of who I am than when I'm dancing. Today as I was full of energy and so many feelings that I cannot fully describe, dancing felt as the best way to end my day. The teacher approached me and she noticed that - I mean she is dancer she understands the deal haha - and she told me that today while I was dancing my energy and my movements looked different and that she felt she was getting to know me that way...she reinforced something that most of u guys already know, she told me: you're a very passionate person.
The truth is I am, and I love it. I feel thankful for that as well. I am thankful that I am such a passionate person because that means that I am sensitive to emotions. And I just realized today that to feel with such intensity is a blessing. I like knowing that there is a ton of stuff that can get my heart pounding and my blood just rushing through my body because that reaffirms the fact that I am alive. And that.. is truly the greatest gift of all.

Las Vegas

Hello everyone! Well this is the update from Vegas! As u guys know - or don't - last week me and some friends had the opportunity to go to Vegas for the Boston and Styx concert! It was freakin' awesome!!! I'm going to summarize the road trip because my brain feels dead right and I don't think I will be able to remember all the details.

Friday about 2:00pm me, Brian and Rome left for Vegas. We came prepared and I brought some granola bars, Rocky 5 and 6, First Knight and some other movie that I haven't seen. On our way there we watched the two Rocky's that I was missing. Before we knew it we were in Vegas and it was so HOT!!! As u guys know I'm not very fond of the hot weather, and my body refuses - most of the time - to adapt to it, so yeah I was dying. As we got there we took a shuttle to go the strip. It took us a long time to decide what to eat for dinner. After a whole lot of walking we decided to go to Caesars Palace to Planet Hollywood. I had a very yummy chicken sandwich! It was great! After that we walked and decided to go to Treasure Island to gamble a little bit. Well Brian and Rome ended up winning 20 bucks, as for me I lost 5 bucks - this shouldn't be surprising to anyone. And then we just went to bed as we were pretty exhausted from the trip.

Saturday morning we woke up - after a night of not sleeping - and decided to go to New York New York and go to the roller coaster. It was pretty fun! I was screaming like crazy and after that ride I'm pretty sure my hair died...oh well. After that we ate the best and greasiest pizza EVER!! it was sooooo good!!! just to think of it makes me hungry again!!! Then we came back, surviving the heat of course - and we got ready for the concert. The concert was AMAZING!!! Styx sounds exactly the same as they do on their album. The guy who was playing the keyboards was absolutely insane!!! He was jumping around on stage, playing backwards, having fun on his rotating keyboard and taking polaroid pictures and throwing them to the audience! it was HILARIOUS! Anyhow, then Boston took the stage and even though they were amazing as well, it just didn't sound the same. The lead vocalist(s) had trouble getting to the high notes, and in some songs just as "More Than a Feeling" he just couldn't make it. But oh well, no complaints here a weekend with Boston is better than any other weekend. We came back, and I was just exhausted!!!!! I dunno what happened but my energy just died and we went to bed...oops.

Sunday we woke up - after another night of not sleeping - and we went to Johnny Rockets for breaskfast/lunch and then we took off to Provo. On the way back we watched First Knight and I took a little nap hehe. This trip was a ton of fun! But I'm pretty sure I'll need weeks to recover from it physically and financially haha....Anyhow, Vegas rocks and it was great to get away for a weekend.
