So after many weeks of anticipation, guessing, and wondering we're proud to say that Alex will be joined by a little brother! Yep, it's a boy! And let me say I'm no ultrasound expert but this baby boy of ours had no shame in letting us know he is very much a boy, I said: yeah it's a boy! Before the ultrasound technician said anything, it was THAT obvious! We're very excited to have another wonderful boy running around and stealing our hearts.
So it seems that I'm destined to be around boys for a long time, and you know, it feels just fine! I absolutely adore my boys, and will gladly take what the Lord sends to our little family with a very grateful heart!
Right now, I'm beyond exhausted! We took Alex to the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point and well I had forgotten how much of a walk it is. I pushed through it and thought how much exercise I was getting haha...I need to incorporate more of that as it has been mostly Yoga and Pilates for my workout routines. It still felt great to do the whole thing and not feel like I was going to die. Alex has a great time, he walked most of the way just touching the flowers and stopping once in a while to smell them - I know melts my heart! He drank more water than Brian and I combined and just had a great time with the new heat wave that started yesterday, which brings another proud moment.
For those of you who have lived in Utah for at least an entire year, you know that Spring is well...psychotic in here. One day you'll have snow and the next day it'll be 70 degrees and gorgeous. Well this past we've had that kind of sunshine that is SUPER deceiving, you go outside and it's actually cold. Well as of yesterday it has been HOT, I'm usually super prepared with Alex's wardrobe but I totally dropped the ball realizing that he didn't have short-sleeve onesies! I'm no seamstress but the little that I do know I put to good use as I changed one of his long-sleeved ones to short-sleeve right before we left so he would be more comfortable. And thank goodness I did, it was really warm and he would have been miserable! Mommy success!
Per some requests, I will post a picture of my growing belly haha dear hubby is at stake conference (they have asked the youth to attend the adult session, so now we have no babysitters, and for those of us with no family close by, we have to pick who goes....what a great idea to have the babysitters taken away NOT) so I took some pics myself. I have to say taking pics in front of the mirror while trying to portray the belly is harder than I thought haha so here's my attempt and I promise better ones once he comes back!
I just have to say that second trimester really is the honeymoon phase, and I plan to continue to enjoy it as much as possible! Have a great rest of the weekend!
