On a rainy day

Hello everyone! It has been weeks again since I updated my blog. I have been busy between getting a license, doctor appointments, helping Dany - my little bro - get all settled up and family meetings. Today is raining and it is windy...I'll be honest I had never been a fan of the rain because somehow I would always get sick when it was raining and I got wet, so yeah I was not very fond of it. That has changed haha and today I just woke up feeling gratitude! This past week was absolutely amazing! Dany finally came to college! I can't believe this as I feel that it was just yesterday that I came here! Well the shopping madness started. We took him to Target, Wal Mart, Ikea and Bed Bath and Beyond to buy all the stuff he needed. I was absolutely exhausted by the end of the day!! This just made me appreciate what my parents and older siblings have done for me all this time by helping me get all settled when it was my turn.
It was Thursday that Lili and my parents came to Utah to help with last minute details/ more expensive stuff haha....Well I didn't see them that day because Brian, Vince, Heidi and me went to the Boyz II Men concert in Orem - yeah I know weird! It was an amazing concert and I had the greatest time! It is usually the case that when you go to a concert and you don't know the lyrics that concert ends up being boring, well this was so not the case for this concert. I didn't know most of the songs but I found myself dancing and just going along with the crowd! It was soo much fun! Not to say that I was absolutely amazed by the talent this guys have, they sing like nobody's business! It was a great evening and the company was great:)
Friday was such an interesting day haha I went up to Wyview to meet with Dany and my parents. As soon as I saw them parking I went downstairs and I first saw my Mom. Lately I have been kinda emotional - don't ask why - so of course I started crying because I hadn't seen her since January! Then I saw my aunt Ruth who is like a mom to me and last but not least my dad who gave me the biggest hug - and of course made me more emotional haha. Then I saw Lili with Christian and I just couldn't believe that the whole family was there after months of being separated. We bought more stuff for him and then it was dinner time with the Woodbury's. They have been friends with my parents since 1974! So they are nice people but they definitely weird haha. So Dad, Dany and me picked Brian up to go to Sandy for dinner. So yeah it was Brian's first time meeting my parents, but it went very well! We wound up having an excellent time at dinner time between talking and translating from one language to the other haha
Saturday was my Dad's bday! yay! and we were also celebrating my parent's 35th anniversary! Thirty five years! Holy Cow! that is a ver long time haha.....but they looked absolutely happy, not to say adorable! So we got to Leo's place early in the morning because my family was going to a session to the West Jordan Temple. So yeah it was our job to take care of Christian and Tiago, and buy some lunch, cake and decorate the living room. Well as much as I hate to fully admit it Brian's right, men are efficient and they were back in no time with the cake and pizzas. I wrote Happy Bday Leo on his cake - which turned out decent haha - and it quite a challenge to take care of two babies. I love them to death but I have to admit that I was feeling a little bit overwhelmed. Well bottom line is that I survived but more important they did as well haha. For dinner, we went to The Roof which is in Salt Lake and has the nicest view of the Salt Lake Temple! The food was delicious as it was a buffet which had pretty much anything you can think of! It was an amazing night and I was feeling extraordinarily happy! Dinner was over and I had to say goodbye to them because they were leaving the very next day early in the morning. All I'm going to say is that I got emotional again haha
This past week was such a blessing. I had the opportunity to spend every single day with the people I love the most in my life. I couldn't ask for anything better. It was just perfect!

After a long absence...

Hello everyone!! First sorry it has been a couple of weeks since I updated my blog, I've been insanely busy with school and all...so hey I have an excuse maybe not the best haha but still an excuse...Well next week I'm done with summer term! yay! I am super excited to finally rest from the crazy schedule I've been having. That doesn't mean that I won't do anything all day long! I can't do that I'm too ADHD for that haha. It means that I will have time to do the things which I have been postponing due to hw and whatnot. I will have time to properly study for the GRE test - I have been slacking and neglecting on this hehe - I will be able to get my UT drivers license and my social security number. Not to mention that in a few weeks my entire family will be here!!!! I am SO SO SO excited!! I haven't seen them since January. They're coming here because my little brother is finally coming to BYU. I can't believe that! He is my little baby so it is quite unbelievable that he is already coming to college. I'm not complaining that will give me the opportunity to see my family reunited again! I feel so incredibly blessed to have a family that stays close together at all situations. It would take me a lifetime to thank each one of them individually for everything they have done for me; however, all I can really give them is my love as my eternal family.
As said there will be no rest for me haha....This weekend is going to be a huge and long roadtrip to Chehalis to see my sister. Brian and me are going over there to be at Blakes and Martha's wedding in Portland, Oregon. It is going to be a long ride but hey that's ok, I'll be done with school and I'll make some sandwiches or something for the way haha....I'm excited for that as well as I'll get to see my sis, Mike and my little nephew Christian who gets cuter and cuter everyday! It will be an intense weekend but oh well for a good cause haha.....
I know I said that I'm so happy to be done with school...and I really am...but last week we had the privilege of having Dr. Richard Williams in class which was such an interesting and uplifting experience. We were talking about the Methodology that psychology uses. You must really be passionate about psychology and believe what it could do rather in what has been done. If you do not hold to that thought and motivation it is really easy to choose another major because the news are definitely not good. Our entire methodology is based on the older one that physics used about 200 years ago! The method is solely based on the scientific inquiry - and here lies the problem. We have method before the theory. We try to describe humans instead of understanding them. The scientific method so efficiently eliminates context, culture and in so many cases - neuroscience and cognitive - leads to a clear determinism with naturalism. This Cartesian Dualism is the biggest problem psychologists are facing. We can see everyone knocking the door of neuroscience, but no one knocking on an ethical phenomenology or hermeneutics. If we could only consider another ontology we would see that we need the whole in order to understand the complexity of what it means to be a human being, instead of trying to place universals in such a rich existence.
This is exactly why I don't lose motivation and hope that some psychologists will try to change this big error and try to make a difference in a way that it impacts the life of human beings for good and not just a solution with a "pill." This discussion lead to the obvious issue of agency that psychology has been struggling for the past 50 years with the notion of cognitive psychology and now neuroscience which seems to place the human being in a atomistic way - like a self contained machine. The discussion was quite interesting here are some of my insights: Often, we talk about agency as though it were merely the ability to choose. Yet the word agency suggests that it is more than that. If we are “agents,” what are we agents of? To simplify, we shall here say that what we “choose” is to be an agent either of Truth or of non-truth. Let’s assume we prefer being agents of Truth. To be an agent of the Truth is to know the Truth and live the Truth. If Truth is a being - Jesus Christ- then our knowing the Truth is not knowing about the truth, but a relationship with the Truth. But each one of our lives is unique, which means each one of our relationships with Truth is unique as well. That means that to be an agent of Truth differs from person to person. When I act, I act on behalf of the Truth, and my actions bear - or should -witness of the Truth. In this way, I testify of Christ and He is universal in that he is in relationship to everyone. But the truth for others, or their relationship with the Truth, will differ because their context is different - no matter how fine the distinctions.
This is precisely what psychology is missing those fine - but yet - fundamental distinctions between each one of us. If we could only grasp the complexity and the richness of what it entails to exist and to experience, or as a Hermeneutics would say, "to add meaning to things," our approach towards understanding people would be absolutely different. As said before, I do not lose hope because I know that even though there are few psychologists that are willing to take this different ontology and apply it, a few are always better than none. As I conclude my undergraduate degree towards the Master's program I want to keep this notion in my mind at all times, never forgetting why I'm doing what I'm doing: to make even the slightest difference, to bring people to the Truth and hopefully make their lives better.
PS. Sorry for the LONG post, I just had so much to say...plus I got excited :)

Blessed

Hello everyone! Well I want to dedicate this post to the wonderful people I have been blessed to have in my life. Kelli can understand why I'm so obsessed with the song Mad Season with Matchbox 20 - sometimes I wonder if Rob Thomas knew me and then wrote it haha so anyhow...I feel overwhelmed by the many blessings the Lord has put my way. In this particular case I have had the tender mercy of having an absolutely amazing family and friends. I don't think that I can describe at this point how thankful I am for having the knowledge that I have and for having friends that share that knowledge with me so we can help one another.
This post is going to seem weird and it is in a way. Has it ever happened to you that just one day it just hits you, and you realize all the blessings and all the talents you have and you feel soo thankful? Maybe I'm not making any sense, or maybe I am, but the point is today was one of those days. I woke up, made myself some yummy breakfast went to class....got a little bit bored - but that's not the point! Then I went to the temple, and then just as I was watching this beautiful building it suddenly came to me as a lighting bolt!!! It was just such an overwhelming feeling of humility, energy and thankfulness. I drove home had some dinner and went right to the gym...I was there for two hours! I had this energy that I don't really know where it came from but I'm not complaining haha
As I previously posted I have been going to this Zumba class. So today while I was dancing and just having fun, I felt so full of the music and the steps. Basically, I just felt really blessed that dancing is one of my talents. Even though I love writing and I believe that I am much better at describing feelings with the written word than by any other mean, I believe nothing can express more of who I am than when I'm dancing. Today as I was full of energy and so many feelings that I cannot fully describe, dancing felt as the best way to end my day. The teacher approached me and she noticed that - I mean she is dancer she understands the deal haha - and she told me that today while I was dancing my energy and my movements looked different and that she felt she was getting to know me that way...she reinforced something that most of u guys already know, she told me: you're a very passionate person.
The truth is I am, and I love it. I feel thankful for that as well. I am thankful that I am such a passionate person because that means that I am sensitive to emotions. And I just realized today that to feel with such intensity is a blessing. I like knowing that there is a ton of stuff that can get my heart pounding and my blood just rushing through my body because that reaffirms the fact that I am alive. And that.. is truly the greatest gift of all.

Las Vegas

Hello everyone! Well this is the update from Vegas! As u guys know - or don't - last week me and some friends had the opportunity to go to Vegas for the Boston and Styx concert! It was freakin' awesome!!! I'm going to summarize the road trip because my brain feels dead right and I don't think I will be able to remember all the details.

Friday about 2:00pm me, Brian and Rome left for Vegas. We came prepared and I brought some granola bars, Rocky 5 and 6, First Knight and some other movie that I haven't seen. On our way there we watched the two Rocky's that I was missing. Before we knew it we were in Vegas and it was so HOT!!! As u guys know I'm not very fond of the hot weather, and my body refuses - most of the time - to adapt to it, so yeah I was dying. As we got there we took a shuttle to go the strip. It took us a long time to decide what to eat for dinner. After a whole lot of walking we decided to go to Caesars Palace to Planet Hollywood. I had a very yummy chicken sandwich! It was great! After that we walked and decided to go to Treasure Island to gamble a little bit. Well Brian and Rome ended up winning 20 bucks, as for me I lost 5 bucks - this shouldn't be surprising to anyone. And then we just went to bed as we were pretty exhausted from the trip.

Saturday morning we woke up - after a night of not sleeping - and decided to go to New York New York and go to the roller coaster. It was pretty fun! I was screaming like crazy and after that ride I'm pretty sure my hair died...oh well. After that we ate the best and greasiest pizza EVER!! it was sooooo good!!! just to think of it makes me hungry again!!! Then we came back, surviving the heat of course - and we got ready for the concert. The concert was AMAZING!!! Styx sounds exactly the same as they do on their album. The guy who was playing the keyboards was absolutely insane!!! He was jumping around on stage, playing backwards, having fun on his rotating keyboard and taking polaroid pictures and throwing them to the audience! it was HILARIOUS! Anyhow, then Boston took the stage and even though they were amazing as well, it just didn't sound the same. The lead vocalist(s) had trouble getting to the high notes, and in some songs just as "More Than a Feeling" he just couldn't make it. But oh well, no complaints here a weekend with Boston is better than any other weekend. We came back, and I was just exhausted!!!!! I dunno what happened but my energy just died and we went to bed...oops.

Sunday we woke up - after another night of not sleeping - and we went to Johnny Rockets for breaskfast/lunch and then we took off to Provo. On the way back we watched First Knight and I took a little nap hehe. This trip was a ton of fun! But I'm pretty sure I'll need weeks to recover from it physically and financially haha....Anyhow, Vegas rocks and it was great to get away for a weekend.

Update

Hello everyone, well here I am updating my blog after THE worst night ever haha last time I checked the clock it was 5 and I was still awake, so if I write something and it doesn't make sense you know why - sleep deprivation. What is new? Well I am officially done with spring term which means being FINALLY done with the three prereq courses I had to take for statistics and research analysis. I'm not saying that I didn't enjoy all of them because each one of the researchs I did were about a subject I was interested in; however, I cannot say that they had external validity because I mean the sample was composed of BYU students - that is obviously biased but that's ok. So yeah I'm officially done and now I have only psychology classes from the cluster I'm actually interested in - Clinical cluster. Starting Monday - I know I'm insane - I'll start taking classes concerning personality, abnormal behavior, social psych, critical issues etc. So I'm really really excited!! On the other hand I'm also really busy because of that. I have decided to go to graduate school into Marriage, Family and Adolescent Therapy. So obviously I'm sarting to think of my resume, my recommendation letters and of course the infamous - and may I say useless - GRE test. So busy busy. For this, I already collected five recommendation letters out of the three they asked me. I have done two indepedent research with teachers, which builds my resume. I have worked in the psychology department as well. I also applied for a job for the Fall working at a clinic as a observational coder for families with serious conflicts and problems. I'm still waiting for them to answer so pray for that haha I really want it.

Ok so let's leave school for now, I think I have enough of that already! So next week I'm going to Vegas to watch Boston and Styx on concert! yay! I am so excited for that! That will be like the only vacation I have this year! Brian burned two cd's for me of their greatest hits so I've been listening to them like NONSTOP! I can say that I've becomed quite a fan. I already picked - kinda- my favorite songs. That would have to be mmm Peace of Mind, Feelin' Satisified, Livin' For You and Rock and Roll Band, also Lady '95, Show Me The Way, Renegade and Come Sail Away. So yeah I'm def excited to go as I've been going to school nonstop haha again my fault but I def need a break. As of lately - as I told Kelli haha- Show Me The Way has been quite an inspirational song for me haha....u guys should read the lyrics they are pretty good! So I hope they play that song at the concert!

What else? oh yeah! At Gold's Gym they opened a new class called Zumba, which is a combination of all latin dances, salsa, merengue, cumbia, samba, Venezuelan drums, bachata, and of course reggeaton. I went last Thursday and it was absolutely amazing! The teacher had us dancing nonstop for the entire hour! It was a great experience as I feel absolutely amazing when I'm dancing. As I have described before, dancing is my passion and this Thursday while I was listening to all these latin music and what not I felt so incredibly proud of being Latin! The music moves me from the inside. It's funny so I'll try to describe it, I feel kinda as if the music runs in my veins and whenever I'm listening to it or dancing my heart starts beating fast and I just can't help myself but to give everything when I'm dancing. I give my whole heart to every step. And the best part is that it makes me absolutely happy. Whenever I've had a problem or just too much in my head I've gone dancing to it and I absolutely forget about it and just let myself go...it's the best feeling ever. I am so proud of belonging to this massive family of hispanics and latins! It's almost as if there's like an internal drum that connects us! The culture is so rich! What can I say I love it! Anyhow I believe this will do nicely for now...

Some thoughts on agency

Well it has been a couple of days since I have posted something so since I'm at the library right now and me and my psych group just finished our final paper I decided to write something more to relax a little bit. I know it sounds ironic that all I've been doing for the past two days has been writing - first my ten page paper for art interrelations and then this twelve page paper for psych research class - and I find it relaxing to write more haha, oh well.
Yesterday just before I decided to stop doing homework and go have dinner I was thinking about the lesson for FHE. As an FHE mom I try most of the times to really think of something to tell the group that would be useful for them. I try to think of the things I struggle with and try to generalize it. So I was having dinner I was reading through my D&C notes and B of M notes. It took me about 15 minutes until I read the scripture in D&C that it says "beware concerning yourselves." This scripture made me think of the one scripture in 3 Nephi when it says that there was nothing in the land that would stop them from progressing lest they should fall into transgression. That's it! I though to myself. I started thinking about Pres. Maxwell's talk about agency and how he said that agency is the ONLY thing that is truly ours to give to the Lord. Everything else we have already belongs to him. Hence, the importance of using our agency adequately. This is the ONLY gift we have for him, the ONLY thing he wants from us. It would be so easy, but it's true, there is nothing that can stop us from progressing but ourselves. Temptations and deceptions will come but at the end of the day it is our decision.
I find it funny how I try to relate everything I do to a gospel principle. This time I found agency as an essential topic in the Tolstoy's novel Anna Karenina. This is the classic example of the struggle between an apparent determinism and agency. Anna - the main character - loses everything because she truly believes that she is the victim. She blames everything that happens on the environment, her relatives, the cosmos, heredity etc. The novel starts by the following phrase: all happy familes are alike; each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way. It is funny to find out that at the end it is exactly the opposite. Happiness is rooted in our individual characteristics as sons and daughters of God. This hold true for the Oblonsky family in the novel who are extremely unhappy - they are self-centered and they abandomned themselves to the idea that they can't help it. I'll stop giving details now for those of you who would like to read the novel. It is a fantastic piece of art! You should read it, the only problem is that it's very long - almost a thousand page book. But hey it's worth it! I promise you won't regret it!
In short, thinking about agency these past couple of days and trying to apply that for my semester paper has been a good experience. Thanks for reading and stay tuned for more!

Hiking the Y

Well yesterday - for the first time - I hiked the Y with Brian, yay!!! I remember calling my sister and she telling him well just don't fall and break your neck! geez thanks Lili!! Well for your information I went there and I did not break my neck haha...Like I was telling Brian it is funny to me how I can dance for eight hours straight but I had to stop like five times to get to the top:s haha I have to work on that. As I was going up - and feeling tired - I was slowly realizing the beautiful view we were gaining. I would always say that's beautiful!...or look that's pretty! and Brian would tell me wait until we get to the top. I remember watching the last part of the trail and just telling myself ok all the way to the top...and Brian telling me yes you can do it haha....he's sweet:) When we finally got to the top I was so amazed by the beauty of the view. I was pretty much speechless by the perfection of God's creation. We can truly see and feel his love when we see the beautiful world he has created for us! The sunset was beautiful because the light rays would get reflected all throughout the lake and the buildings. It was so beautiful! - besides we had Martinelli's which made it even better haha....All of this just made me realize that in a way life is like that. On the way up we will see many pretty things believing that we have seen it all...and that probably that is as pretty as it will get. However, we must go all the way to the top - which is hard - to see the beauty in its fulness. Once you get to the top it is worth it!

Beautiful view!

There's Brian - I kinda missed the sunset in here oh well hehe

There's me - as you can see he actually got the sunset haha and yes I was kinda cold:)

Some thoughts...

As all of you guys know I like being super busy all the time haha....This week has been busy busy but I must say that is has been definitely good! Well for a start this week I started noticing changes since me and Brian started going to the gym almost everyday - well he does I can't Monday and Wednesday. It is amazing how just some extra work out and a healthier diet can help. I remember telling my mom a couple of weeks ago that I felt I was gaining weight:s...I remember Leo telling me: haha told ya! your metabolism changes! It certainly does...So for a total of three weeks I have been working out before going to school - some abs - and then in the afternoon I go to my intense dancing lessons - which I love!! It is amazing to see how that makes a difference. I feel like I have more energy already, I sleep better and I am in better shape! :)
This week - as always - I have been thinking about random stuff. In my art interrelations class - which btw I finished the test...horrible haha - we're analyzing different adaptations from Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet to movies from Zeffirelli and Robbins. I was re-reading the play this week and I realized that reader-response criticics are so right when they say that no book is the same even when it is read again by the same person. I had read that play in junior high as a hobbie; however, I felt that since I am certainly different from that time, the play was absolutely different for me. I guess I was able to truly catch on the imagery, cosmology and formalism of the text. I was watching Zeffirelli's version of Romeo and Juliet yesterday afternoon while I was taking notes on it. I took a total of almost five pages of only imagery and from the diegetic reality of the movie. I must confess, I was fascinated by the movie and how Zeffirelli - being a Shakespeare expert - was able to catch on the water imagery and so many details and put it into different shots. The soundtrack is beautiful. What is a youth? is the main song that I think describes the plot quite accurately. I find it quite interesting how the play places the antithesis of fate and agency in a way that it ends in tragedy. I would write more of my thoughts concerning this but I believe this will be enough for now.
On the other hand, I have been going to the MTC for almost three weeks now to serve as an spanish speaking investigator. It has been such an awesome experience. Ever since I was little I have always felt that missionaries have a different spirit, a very noble but full of power kind of spirit. I've had missionaries that either know spanish almost perfect or that have just started and can only say two words. Both experiences have been different. My experience with missionaries that know spanish already has been different in the sense that I feel amazed on how the spirit speaks a universal language. It doesn't matter if you're preaching the gospel in your native language or not the spirit is the same. I felt amazed on how this missionaries were able to bear their testimony with me in a language different than their native one and still feel the spirit so strongly - I feel so blessed to be able to be sensitive to these promptings. My experience with missionaries who are still learning how to speak spanish has been quite different. I guess that it has increased my capacity to love people you don't even know. It feels so good to be able to help them and just say: relax, when the time comes the spirit will help you and you will be able to open your mouth and change lives...for now you're doing great! I feel love for the missionaries and their faith to go outside their homes to a strange place and preach the gospel. I admire them so much. I will continue to go as I know that it fortifies my spirit and builds my character.
That is all for today. I feel happy and incredibly blessed...I wouldn't have my life any other way:)

The never-ending test

Well today was an interesting day. I worked most of the day on this take-home test for my art interrelations class which deals mostly with adaptation theories and literary theories. Interesting class indeed. When the teacher - the famous and absolutely amazing teacher Larry H. Peer - gave me the test he looked right into my eyes and said: this is going to be a learning experience for you mrs. Espinosa so try to answer it as soon as possible and don't bother about the details, I will be waiting for your test Tuesday afternoon...remember being a perfectionist means sometimes not being a perfectionist...have a nice evening. I smiled and thanked him, as I was leaving the classroom I noticed that the test was SO LONG! 100 questions! what in the world?! I started reading through them and I realized that I wasn't going to be able to answer any of the questions without reading some books first and getting some others from the library. So I took off to the library and got myself with some pretty good books.
I started answering the test that same day...after two hours I had only gotten to question seven. I felt frustrated. Today after working for five hours on it I'm in question 40. Today I understood what he meant that sometimes being a perfectionist means not being one. I realized that even though I wanted to include all the details it was not possible...the teacher wanted the summary and the clear idea. He just wanted to know that I knew, but most important of all that I had actually read - going blind people! haha.
I love this class and it has made me pondered about so many things. Recently we talked about the theory of Structuralism - not the one from Marx but from Saussure. Structuralists affirm that we see the world through the lenses of language. In other words, the language we speak changes the way we think - individualism vs. collectivism for example. I found this interesting because I can certainly realize the difference in me when I speak English, Spanish or Portuguese. I find it interesting that English and Spanish tend to be more individualistic while Portuguese is more collectivistic. Fascinating ideas. So I'm still trying to get that done. So while I'm working on it the words of my teacher make noise inside my head: forget the details.

A little bit of me

First of all I would like to start posting something about myself . Well all of u guys know me haha u know that I define myself as a sweet & sour combination...pretty accurate may I say. I am a passionate person, and I believe that people can notice that easily. The thing I'm most passionate about is dancing. People always ask me if I get nervous when I'm performing, my answer is always the same: terrified before I get on stage but once I start dancing I forget about everything and I just let myself go, it's the best feeling ever! Another thing that I consider myself passionate about is reading. My literature teacher told me once that I don't read books I eat them!...haha....very true! - I'm going blind because of that btw! It was my dad who got me into the reading habit, I remember the first book he gave me: Kane & Abel by Jeffrey Archer, he told me to take good care of it...so I did...and I still do...because in short let's just say the book is not with him anymore:) This goes along with my passion for writing. I love to write and I do it at least twice a week. I like just writing random stuff...mostly open essays, and sometimes - when I'm in the mood - some poetry.
Another thing I'm passionate about is food! I love eating and I always appreciate a good meal...like the one I had yesterday, man! that was one huge burger!!! Excellent!:) I am passionate about music, I always take a shower, eat, get ready in the morning, drive and so on with music!...The best band of all times of course The Beatles!! Best song from them? mmm tough call...I'm between "Something," "You've got to hide your love away" or "While my guitar gently weeps"...hard decision, I don't think I will ever decide on that one. I absolutely love the 60's, I often wonder if on another time I lived there because I just love everything about it! That takes me to movies! I'm a movie fan and my favorite movies are - not to surprising - musicals. My favorite movie is "Grease." I've been watching that movie since I was about nine and since then it has been my favorite. Recently I watched Across the Universe which I thought was an amazing movie!
What else can I say that u wouldn't know already? mmm well I have an obvious weakness for blue colors and shades haha weird but true!....Oh yeah I love Friends...I just can't stop watching that show...I own the series haha and believe me I've seen them more than once!...My favorite character? Chandler BY FAR!....although I must say I can relate to Rachel because of her love for shopping and Monica for her OCD tendencies. Oh yeah! I am a perfectionist....sometimes that is a good thing...sometimes not so much. I like things done in the best way possible, and for all u people who have been in a group project with me know exactly what I mean!!
What else? Oh yeah I'm a humanistic person. I love art and my favorite period is Romanticism. I love everything about it: literature, philosophy, psychology and painting - the painting on my the main page is by my favorite painter of all time: JMW Turner ...a hopeless romantic! Lastly - but only because I want to close in the best way possible - is the thing I'm most passionate about: the gospel. I love the way the gospel always applies to everything, every situation, problem, joy and feeling. My favorite book is D&C, probably because I always - and when I say always I mean it - find the answer or counsel I need. I feel strong about so many things but this is definitely the strongest one..and will always be. Oh well I believe this is enough for now, yeah that'll do just fine. A few of you know me pretty well...inside out may I say...so if I'm missing something feel free to say it haha

This is how random I can be haha....and would u look at that? I'm eating! no way! Ice cream yummy!

Starting my new electronic journal

Well here I am feeling ADD at almost 2am in the morning. It seems funny to me how something can get stuck in your head and it won't stop bugging you until you do it haha...so here's my blog...due to popular demand I decided that it would be a good idea to post something that could be interesting - and hopefully useful - for the people that take the time to read this. I'm still trying to get the design the way I want to but I'm afraid it's still going to take some time - that and the fact that I'm finally getting sleepy...so here it is. Hopefully I will have time to write things on a regular basis...so keep checking. Thanks for reading and enjoy my experiences.

ps. Feel free to post any comments..............only if they're good:) jk!
